The book of Ecclesiastes simultaneously is both brutally honest about the often painful and confusing realities of life, and yet, also refreshingly robust in providing a sturdy kind of wisdom that leads to a hope-filled way of living.
Even with toil and sorrow in hand, God is still abundantly good and generous to us, and if we have the eyes to see it, He will keep us "occupied with joy" in our hearts.
In my own seasons of deep pain and sorrow, leaning back into photography helped me re-discover God's goodness and begin to savor the many beautiful things about life again.
What started as a spiritual discipline to retrain my foggy mind remains to this day as an essential rhythm that keeps my eyes up and open to what God is doing today.
Photography is truly an ode to His goodness in my life, and I’m delighted to be considered in capturing His goodness in your own life.
Big milestones get photographed. Everyday life usually doesn’t, even though it’s what you’ll want to remember most. I blend documentary photography with easygoing portraits to create a gallery that shows your life as it really is.
